| THIS IS AN ANIME ONLY DISCUSSION POST. DO NOT DISCUSS THE MANGA BEYOND THIS EPISODE. ---------------------------------------- Glad to see they introduce a lot of characters this episode, many who are going to be rivals. Good introduction of Megumi though. I just find it amusing about how cute she is :3  She needs a bit more confidence though. Well, hopefully this show will be a 2 cour so it will give her time to develop her skills more. The food cooked imo was fabulous this episode. Lol the Soma bee metaphors~ Be bathed in honey. |

| Souma's small speech to incite the student was great. Love how chill this guy is! Megumi's timid personality makes her quite likable. Her village accent is pretty cute too. :3 Once again, Souma epically pulls off a dish. That honey foodgasm though.. Chapelle's "It's wonderful!" is French was hilarious! XD Lol. Does Souma always have to have people taste his disgusting squid recipes? One more girl gets tentacle raped because of him. How vile! Decent episode. Souma's voice in the endcard scene was so evil. | Souma continues to show why he's such a freaking badass chef.....Man I love characters with his personality and confidence. I'm glad that he's receiving so much hate from most of the students there because it'll make things that much more enjoyable to watch him kick all their asses. Erina is so fucking salty lol, I think I get why some people now but I still love her....This chick is so tsundere for Souma that her constant denial of her feelings is hilarious xD Megumi left a good impression on me as well. I like her cute attitude and I feel bad knowing that she's not that good at cooking but I'll be rooting for her a lot now because I want to see her succeed :) Overall great episode with some cameos from characters that will definitely play bigger roles in the future (I saw that Alice girl that so many people are in love with too) and I can't wait to see their interactions with Souma |

Are you telling me that isn't bad when the same scene wasn't sexual at all in the manga. Also, there wasn't a tentacle scene when Megumi ate the octopus. One was enough in the first episode. I just want the nature of the anime to remain the same: a cooking series with a little ecchi. The anime is trying to explicitly focus on the ecchi. It is going to hurt the anime later on when we get to the parts of the manga where the foodgasm are not sexual at all. |

| So damn awesome! and *drools...* that meat looked extremely tender and juicy, I fell tempted to bite the screen. I can't stand that kind of snobby people, so I find it particularly enjoyable that Souma is beating the competition, even if he is a little more arrogant than what is good for him. |
| The best girl is hereeeeeeee~ Another good episode. It captured Megumi's shy personality and low confidence perfectly, IMO. More to come from her, of course! The food looked awesome (again) in this episode! |
| Gotta love Souma's speech XD Megumi seems alright. I have seen her character archetype enough to know what is going to happen with her. The foodgasm this week hasn't been as glorious as the past few weeks. But it was still fun to watch. |

| Best episode so far! Finally I'm getting excited about this show. Tadokoro is really cute; it was really funny to see her get freaked out by Souma's antics. Looks like she'll be the straight man of the pair in contrast to Souma's crazy stunts. They do make a good team, though. Souma's speech was badass. He sure knows how to make a first impression, getting all the other students to hate him. At least, he will get noticed now, and there is no such thing as bad publicity. He already made a huge impression on the headmaster and Erina. Speaking of who, it was really priceless watching Erina's reactions to Souma getting admitted and getting first place on his first dish. It looks like this will become an ongoing trend, which I will really enjoy seeing. Let's hope they will keep the momentum next week with continuously introducing new cast members. |

My bad, it wasn't sexual at all in the manga, although please look for "Shokugeki No Soma" in Google Image. The anime Honey Foodgasm is rather light. Yes, the foodgasms became less about Ecchi later on, but it remains a strong component of the first half of the series, so I don't think there is a problem here. |
